The FALCON 400 series are micro-hardness testers for a test force
range of 0.001 to 30 kgf (depending on the type) for the micro
Vickers, Knoop and Micro-Brinell hardness testing methods. The unique
test force load system includes an electronic control system in the
closed control circuit and sensor technology with force feedback.
In addition to the electro-mechanical test force load, the FALCON is
equipped with first-class mechanical and optical components. The
innovative software functions of the I-Touch™ "control" allows the
storage of results, creation and storage of test programs, overwashing
of results (limit input), conversion to other hardness scales and
curvature corrections for measurement on unplanned test surfaces. The
digital / optical hardness impression measurement, combined with
intuitive operator software, minimizes the operator's influence on the
test results.
The solid machine frame is protected by impact- and scratch-resistant
plastic cladding. The heart of the device consists of a powerful,
embedded microprocessor control system that does not contain any wear
parts (no mechanically moving parts).
